Registration Opens December 3 @ 7pm.

Participants must have completed Learn to Hockey Skate classes for LTP classes.

ALL DATES AND TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE BASED ON THE CAPITALS SCHEDULE and other rink activities.

LTP 2 is appropriate for those players who have completed LTP 1 or Future Caps and are ready for more advanced skills!

Players will learn and develop their hockey skills with structured age and ability-appropriate games and skill specific stations emphasizing fun! Drills and small area games will be used to develop proper skating, stick handling, passing, puck control and shooting techniques.

All youth and adult hockey players at MedStar Capitals Iceplex may be requested to submit their USAHockey number when requested during registrations.
If prompted, enter your 2025-2026 USAHockey number. If you need to retrieve or purchase your number, visit USA Hockey.

A 2025-2026 number will have a "6" as the fourth digit. This number is valid through August 31, 2026.

Full gear is required for all:

HECC Certified Helmet with full-face protection (cage or shield), shoulder pads, neck guard, elbow pads, ice hockey gloves, ice hockey pants, ice hockey shin guards, mouth guard, protective cup, hockey skates, and hockey stick. Loaner gear is not available (except rental skates).
