This competition allows participants to showcase their skills while contending to become the top shooter or goalie within their respective age bracket. The tournament is conducted in three rounds, with the finalists from each age bracket battling for the championship during intermission of a Washington Capitals home game! Registration is open to all youth hockey players at the Mite (8U), Squirt (10U), Peewee (12U), and High School (14U, 16U, 18U) age groups.
The first, preliminary, round is held at six local ice rinks in Maryland and Virginia. The semifinal round is held at the Washington Capitals practice facility, Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, VA. The final round for each age group will be held at Verizon Center during intermission of a Capitals home game.
The winners at all levels including Mite (8U), Squirt (10U), Peewee (12U), and High School (14U, 16U, 18U) will get a VIP experience from the Capitals.
