Capitals Academy is pleased to announce that Mike Leoni will be the head Coach of the 2018-19 Midget Red team.

Coach Leoni has been a member of the Kettler family and coaching staff since 2011 where he started coaching in the Kettler RHL program. In 2014-15, along with coaching in the RHL program, he was also an assistant coach with the Capitals Academy U12 team. That year the team won the International Silver Stick, Peewee Regional Championship. During the 2015-16 season Coach Leoni was an assistant coach of the Capitals Academy U14 team. 

In 2016, Coach Leoni was named head coach of the Capitals Academy U14 team where he lead them to an International Silver Stick Bantam Regional Championship. Coach Leoni has been instrumental in helping build Capitals Academy’s U16 Midget program as he was the Head Coach of the U16 team during our flagship season (2017-18).

Coach Leoni has been actively involved with Capitals Academy since joining the coaching staff and also coaches in our RHL program. Mike is a Level 4 USA Hockey Certified coach and brings a contagious level of energy to the coaching staff and players.
