Program Options! Which Group should we pick?

Skaters should register for their current level.

If a skater passes into the next level BEFORE April 10, just let us know and we can move them up.

Enrollments close April 10 so we can have everyone’s costumes here in time for the Dress Rehearsal!

Cost $300

Skaters who register for the Large Group Number will receive 50% off if they hold both SHSA Class and Practice Memberships.

Make sure to have a tape measure and your child handy before proceeding. We need to have exact measurements to order the right size costume. Remember that many children will grow between now and when the costumes arrive so err on the larger size. You can always tailor a costume in if necessary!

Figure Skaters! Want more time in the spotlight?

CHECK OUT THESE ADDITIONS!

Are Your a SHSA Bronze or Above Skater?

You are eligible to join a Small Featured Number.

Skaters may choose to participate in a smaller group number for $300 or add this to their Large Group Number for only $100, giving the skater 2 times the spotlight time. Fee includes rehearsals and costume. See schedule for details.

US Figure Skating Preliminary Freestyle Skaters or Higher

Try out for a SOLO!

Our Solo or Duet Tryouts will take place Sunday, March 31 at 6:30pm. If our non-skating judges think you have what it takes to bring down the house, you will be awarded one of our coveted spots.

There are no required rehearsals other than the dress rehearsal. All those awarded a solo/duet must provide their own costume and do their own choreography.

If you aren’t awarded a solo or duet you can still participate in a small featured number. Additional charges may apply.

$100 registration fee includes Dress Rehearsal, TWO Performances and one free ticket to each performance.

*Only Skaters who have passed their Freeskate 6 or Preliminary Freestyle test are eligible to tryout.

Important Information-Please Read!

All classes and performances are MANDATORY.  The performers will work very hard to learn and memorize their programs. When one skater misses a class, all the other performers are affected and must wait for the returning child to “Catch-up”. We know that spring time is the season for birthday parties, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, and Prom and Graduations but please be respectful of our attendance policy and do not enroll if you cannot commit to these dates and times.

*No refunds will be given after April 10, 2019. Costumes will be ordered at the time of registration and are non-returnable. Only injuries or illnesses with a doctor’s note will be considered and only the difference minus costume and classes attended will be refunded. If you are ill and must miss class but plan on continuing with the show, you WILL NOT receive a credit for the missed class.

*Some costumes require additional minimal purchases. Costumes will be distributed as soon as they arrive during one of your classes. Performers must wear their costume for the dress rehearsal and both performances. Children without their own skates may borrow our rental skates at no charge. White boot covers or over the boot tights for girls and black boot covers for boys must be worn by skaters who will be renting figure skates. Most female costumes will also require the skaters to purchase flesh colored tights. Both the boot covers and tights can be purchased in the MedStar Pro-Shop. Please speak to your instructor before purchasing.

*Skaters must arrive 45 minutes before each performance and stay for the entire performance. Please be mindful that every skater deserves a full audience while they skate. Feel free to pack a snack and any other quiet activity (ie. books, games, IPad) to keep your child occupied while waiting to either perform or for the completion of each performance. We will have staff staying with all performers while the show is running.

*Enrollments are open to all current Learn to Skate students and Sky High Skating Academy members ONLY.
