RHL SELECTS TRYOUTS

Tryout Registration Opens at 10am on August 1!

Tryout participants must FIRST be registered and paid for the fall/winter 2024-2025 RHL season.

The RHL Selects program is for the experienced house player that is looking for additional opportunities as a hockey player. By playing in the Selects program, these players will have the opportunity to participate in up to eight practices as well as between two and three away or local tournaments.

Players must try out for this team in order to participate on this team. There are two days of tryouts and participants should plan to attend both dates.

Selects Tryout Fee: $80

Selects Season Fee:
8U – $700
10U/12U/14U – $780

All dates and times subject to change based on enrollment numbers and Capitals schedules.

We anticipate fielding teams at the 8U (2x), 10U, 12U, and 14U levels.

RHL Selects 8U Tryouts

• August 28th – 510p-600p
• August 30th – 500p-550p

RHL Selects 10U Tryouts

• August 28th – 610p-700p
• August 30th – 600p-650p

RHL Selects 12U Tryouts

• August 28th – 710p-800p
• August 30th – 700p-750p

RHL Selects 14U Tryouts

• August 28th – 810p-900p
• August 30th – 800p-850p

RHL Selects practices begin in September. Our goal is to provide at least 8 practices per team. Each team will have a minimum of 6 practices during the season. Current planned practice dates are – 9/6 (TBD), 9/7 (TBD), 9/8 (TBD), 9/9, 9/10, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, and 10/4.

Games, tournaments, and 8U jamborees are typically held on weekends, including some Friday evenings. Some tournaments will run into Mondays on holiday weekends like President's weekend. Planned tournaments are:

• 8U – Philadelphia (1/18-1/20 and 2/15-2/17)
• 10U – Washington DC (10/12-14) and Philadelphia (1/18-1/20 and 2/15-2/17)
• 12U – Washington DC (10/12-14) and Philadelphia (1/18-1/20 and 2/15-2/17)
• 14U – Washington DC (10/12-14) and Philadelphia (1/18-1/20 and 2/15-2/17)

Players will be required to sign a commitment letter during tryouts which states that if selected, you agree to join the selects team and pay all associated fees. This letter will be sent at a later date to all registered for RHL Selects Tryouts.
