TOURNAMENT CHANGES POSTED 4/6

We’ve just been informed that another team in the area has decided to field a girls team in the Beantown Classic AND we have not yet been accepted into the East Coast Wizards showcase June 27-30. By another team in the area now attending the Beantown Classic, this has reduced the amount of eligible/talented participants available to join our 19U Girls Jr. Capitals team to the point where fielding a team in this specific tournament is no longer possible.

All of that being said, we are adjusting our plans to now attend the TCS Music City Cup in Nashville, TN 6/27-6/29.

We have scheduled 3x practices for the following days and times prior to the tournament:

6/22 1040a-1140a
6/23 1200p-100p
6/24 750p-850p

We have also adjusted the fees to be $500 if you are selected for the team. This cost includes home and away jersey, a pair of socks, practice ice, tournament registration, and coach stipends.

This cost does not include the cost to cover coaches travel fees and will need to be covered by the team once a total has been finalized.

If this affects your availability, please let us know so that we can accommodate.

Girls 19U Jr. Capitals Spring Hockey is HERE!

NOTE CHANGES posted 4/6.

We are excited to announce that we will be expanding our Jr. Capitals program to now include a 19U Girls team.

Tryouts will be held at MedStar Capitals Iceplex on the following dates and times:

  1. 4/24 – 840p-940p
  2. 4/25 – 840p-940p

Within the program cost, players will receive 2-3 on-ice practices per tournament, may be selected for one or both tournaments, and will have their own home and away jersey plus socks.

The Washington Jr. Capitals 19U girls team plans to attend the East Coast Wizards Summer Showcase (6/27-30 in Bedford, MA) and the Beantown Classic (7/26-28 in the Marlborough, MA area).

Which tournaments players are available for (both/East Coast ONLY/Beantown ONLY) can be indicated in the tryout registration. If a player is only available for one tournament, they then may be selected for only that tournament and another player will play in that roster spot for the other tournament. If a player is available for both tournaments, they may be selected to play in both tournaments or may be asked to play only in one.
